Our early years learning environment has been designed to enable young minds to be developed on what they already know and can do. It includes teachers who understand that children develop rapidly during the early years physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. They are responsible of ensuring that all children feel included, secure and valued and No child should be excluded or disadvantaged because of ethnicity, culture or religion, home language, family background, special educational needs, disability, gender or ability. They plan purposeful activity that provides opportunities for teaching and learning, both indoors and outdoors and provide opportunities for students to engage in their own planned activities and initiatives.

It is a place where parents and teachers work together.

 
The Program

The foundation stage is based on the British National Curriculum and the philosophies of the IB Primary Years Program. It is designed to make the child comfortable with the new environment, to develop skills, train character and enhance knowledge whilst promoting international awareness and understanding.

The development program for your child follows six areas of learning.

 

Communication, language and literacy (CCL).
Provides guidelines for Oral Communication (Listening and speaking). Written Communication(reading and writing) and Visual Communication (viewing and presenting), of all chosen languages.

 

Problem solving ,Reasoning &Numeracy (PSRN)
B ased on counting and understanding numbers, using and applying mathematics, measuring, understanding shape and space, handling data, recognizing patterns and function, and reasoning patterns and function, and rationalizing calculations.

 

Knowledge and understanding of the world (KUW)
An integrated area of inquiry on our history, geography, society, science and technology.

 

Physical Development (PD)
Based on body control and spatial awareness, athletics, movement to music, games, sports, and health-related activities.

 

Creative development (CD)
Based on art and design, reflection and appreciation, singing, acting, expressing and reflecting self.

 

Personal, social and emotional development (PSED)
Based on IB learners profile. The attributes which enables a child to make learned decisions, the IB learners strive to be, Inquirers, knowledgeable, Thinkers, Communication, Principled, Open-minded, Caring, Risk-takers, Balanced, Reflective.

 


Tran disciplinary Themes
These themes are based upon global significance-for all students in all cultures. It offer students the opportunity to explore the commonalities of human experience.
