MAJOR ANNUAL EXTRA CURRICULAR EVENTS

Swimming Gala
Each year, The International School organizes a 4 to 6 week swimming camp for all students. The camp culminates in a gala where students, staff and parents unite to create an atmosphere of competitive support for the accomplished swimmers.

Olympics
The International School organizes an annual sports event in the spirit of the Olympic games, which bring together participants from all over the world to test their physical capabilities and mental faculties in a friendly and competitive environment. The student population is divided into three teams, represented by some of the world's major continents: Africa (Yellow), Asia (Green) and Europe (Blue). Each team has two students as leaders.

Since the Olympics are globally viewed as a unifying force for all races and cultures, we have chosen "Unity in Diversity" as the slogan for our school Olympics. Besides encouraging participation in sporting activities, this event serves as a memorable and valuable learning experience for students. Until a child leaves the school, he or she will remain a member of the same continent.

Drama Festival
The Annual Drama Festival combines an array of theatrical songs, skits and plays organized through the joint efforts of students and teachers. This event allows students the opportunity to be creative and learn the basic etiquettes of performance, public appearance and event organization, while simultaneously helping them to build confidence and overcome difficulties of communication and expression.

Independence Cup Cricket Match
On every 14th of August, the school organizes a cricket match where the Student Cricket Team competes against the Staff Cricket Team for the running trophy - "The Independence Cup".

Graduation Ceremony
To honor the students who have completed the IB Diploma Program, the school organizes a graduation ceremony on the 31st of May.
