A) Internal
Department exams, tests, quizzes, home assignments, completed projects
and other subject specific tasks evaluate the student's academic progress.
The progress is then recorded by two modes: Formative and Summative. The subject-wise
formative forms are completed by the teaching staff prior to the Parent Teacher
Meeting held once in each semester. Formative forms provide an understanding of
the progress of a child during a semester before the production of the final report.
The summative form is the final recorded grade for the semester.
B) External
At the end of the five year MYP cycle, students are awarded by the IBO,
a
a. Records of Achievement
b. MYP Completion Certificate
All students regardless of their educational accomplishments will be given the records
of achievement; an IBO validated marks sheet, at the end of the MYP cycle. The MYP
Completion Certificate will ONLY be awarded on satisfying the following conditions:
- Having gained at least a grade 2 in at least one subject per subject group
- Having gained at least a grade 3 for the Personal Project
- Having participated in the MYP program for at least the final two years i.e. MYP
4 and 5
- Having met the expectations of Community Service to the satisfaction of the school
- Having gained a grade total of at least 36 out of a possible 63 total grade points
(If a student has more than one subject in a subject group then the best grade will
be chosen for the grade total)
