AREAS OF INTERACTION (AOI) DAY |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
One day of each month during the academic calendar is declared Area of Interaction
(AOI) Day. On this day there are no regular classes for MYP 1 to 5. It is a day
comprising of activities, guest speakers, field trips on issues related to the five
areas of interactions:

|
Approaches to Learning (ATL)
– concentrates on developing effective study and personal skills |
|
|
|
Community Service (CS) – creates
a sense of 'we' as opposed to "I" |
|
|
|
Health and Social Education (HSE) – creates awareness of the various aspects of health
|
|
|
|
Environment (EN) – focuses
on conversation, sustained growth & harmony with nature
|
|
|
|
Human Ingenuity (HI)
– concerned with the evolution and inventive genius
of man and self |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The students are encouraged to maintain an AOI day journal with entries of their
thoughts, feelings and impressions of these special days. |
